My journey of reflexology began about fifteen years ago when I was training to become a medical imaging technologist and I stumbled upon a reflexology book by Barbara and Kevin Kunz at a hospital book fair. At that time I was experiencing some painful conditions in my body and as a student I had limited resources to find help. I started trying some of the methods described in the reflexology book, and overnight most of my symptoms were lessened or gone. That’s when I first knew there was something to this reflexology thing. Reflexology isn’t just a profession, it’s a spiritual journey.
Fast forward to February 2020, when I finally began my first reflexology class. At that time I lived in Penacook, NH and had been working in hospitals and mobile medical imaging for more than a decade. My primary work was doing PET/CT nuclear medicine scans for patients with, or suspicious of, cancer.
In my spiritual journey I’ve learned, beyond a doubt, that much of what causes pain and physical illness in the body comes from emotional seeds planted early in life. And while I’ve learned that medication and treatment can help the physical body, reflexology can help to free up emotional space to give room for our clients to emotionally heal. And this is what I feel like I’m on this planet to help my clients do.
I currently live in Topsham, Maine (yes, Maine, I’m from here 😊) and have my reflexology business in Brunswick. I completed my foot reflexology training in 2020, and have since completed training in hand and ear reflexology as well. I am an ARCB Certificant and hold my license in NH to practice reflexology (in case I ever move back, I love NH!!) I look forward to sharing my journey with you!
